The Parade

On Sunday, Gig, Will and I headed downtown to watch some of the street events and the parade.

Above is the shovel races.  Anyone can enter.  Just bring a shovel and a helmet!

This is the high school marching band.  Gig wants to play the flute with them some day.

Then that afternoon we went skiing at Howelsen.  Howelsen Hill is a ski hill owned by the city.  It is usually $6 (!)  for a day pass, but on Sunday it was free for parents skiing with their kids!  We had a blast.  I have to be honest.  I was kinda scared to go on the poma lift.  It goes right up the face of a black run, and it's notorious for causing Poma Trauma.  I made it though-whew!

We're so lucky to live here!
