This is what we ate for our feast. We had all the old standbys and everybody chipped in with either the cooking or the cleanup. Gillian thought that making the mess was much more fun than cleaning! Me, too.
Every year before diving into the food, we each say one thing we're thankful for. Here's what was on our hearts this year:
Sam: Pumpkin Pie.
Gaby: A family that loves her.
Gig: Her family, her friends.
Will: God.
Bryan: Sooner football.
Me: Our family together at last!! The six of us have not all been together in a while.
Some other highlights:
-watching Nevada beat Boise St. Great game!!
-Oklahoma won in Stillwater. Yay!
-We played Scribblish. Fun fun fun.
-Girls shopping trip to Ft. Collins on Black Friday. Exhausting.
-Ice Skating on Saturday. Ouch!
-Mrs. Doubtfire on DVD. Oh Hell-OOO!!
Isn't Thanksgiving just the best?? It's such a great way to kick off the Christmas season. Family. Feasts. Football. Fun. A relaxing day. Gratitude. I love it.
Hope to spend it with more Family next year!!
Gaby was our Family Photographer. My camera's battery was dead.
And this is the view out our windshield as we drove home Sunday through another winter storm warning. I am thankful for my Blizaks snow tires.
