Buffalo Pass

Mom, Bryan and I went exploring over Buffalo Pass earlier today while the kids were in school.  It was perfect!  Weather great, skies blue, and leaves turning brilliant yellow and red.

We were enjoying the fresh air, bumpy roads, and the killer views.

Then, out of nowhere, this big guy loped out onto the road RIGHT IN FRONT of us!!

He proudly pranced off into the trees without hardly paying us any attention.

But luckily for us, Bryan, with his Mario Andretti moves, found him again.  Right around the corner.  So we got out of the car and tried to get some closer-ups.  Then Bryan saved us from the magnificent beast by shooing us into the car before he could charge.

Then we ate our picnic lunch. . .

. . . right out of the car.

And this is some of the cool stuff we saw:

This drive was stunning!!  The photos don't even capture how beautiful it was.  Put this on your "to do" list.  Get out here some time in the fall. We were really amazed the whole drive.  Gorgeous.
