The Continental Divide

On the third day, we were looking for something to do.  We thought, "Why not go for a hike??"

So we did.

We headed up the ridge behind Blue Lake.

We tried to find a trail.  Several times we started to follow game trails, but they didn't really go anywhere.

So we headed straight up.

You can see Blue Lake (where we camped) to the right of Will.

It was steep and high and we stopped LOTS.

But we made it to the top!!  We ate our lunch up there.  Peanut butter and tortillas.

Gillian doing yoga poses.

Will's favorite thing to do on the trip was jump.  Over streams.  Over logs.  On logs.  From rock to rock. Into the lake.  You name it.  He jumped the whole time, making a "Hi-YAH!!" sound with every leap.

When we got back to camp, we had time to relax.

Our menu for dinner that night was Fish Tacos.  Bryan gave it another try with the fly rod.  No luck.

So Sam, who was getting hungry and tired of waiting for the fish, went ahead and made dinner!!  We had black bean burritos.  It was delicious!  Thanks Sam.
