Hi!

Is anybody there?

As you can imagine, quite a bit has happened around here over the past couple of months.  Two of the most recent things are:

1.  We moved into our house.  Finally.  Yay!

2. We got a really tall tree to put in our house.

No broken ankles this year.  So we did it snowshoe-style.  This is one of my favorite things we do at Christmastime.  I'm not sure it's everyone else's favorite.  So this was my birthday present. : )

We had to find a tree at least 200 feet from the trail.  This was the hardest part.  Okay, maybe the second-hardest part.

Every time we seemed to find the right tree, we would look around and see that the trail was too close.  So we'd wander some more.  We couldn't have gotten lost if we tried.  Everywhere we went, the trail wound around and followed us.

Bryan was worried that it was getting dark.  So we decided on this one:

Getting Bryan to the tree was actually the hardest part.  He, Jason and Lauren were the only ones without snowshoes.   The snow was a lot deeper off the trail.

We had hot chocolate back at the car, of course.

Hope Bryan's up for this again next year!!  Right, Bryan?

Bryan??
