Last week the US Pro Challenge bike tour rode stopped by our town. What was cool about it is that these guys are the Big Time. Like, Tour de France Big Time.
They are so fast. We got to see them on Friday at the finish line and then Saturday at the start line. On Friday, we got there two hours early to avoid traffic and to stake out our spot. We waited in the 90 degree heat. And then. . . we could see the helicopter up above. They were getting close! Will shoved in front to get a peek. I stood on my tip-toes. Half a second later, they flew by us and they were gone. Just a blur.
Saturday was better. We didn't even try to get a good spot. We just stumbled on it. We could see them great!
The guy in yellow (below) is the guy who won: Levi Leipheimer. I don't have any idea who these other guys are. The winner of the Tour de France, Cadel Evans, is in there somewhere.
But the highlight for Will was the vehicle below: Team Jelly Belly's SAG wagon!
